Who are eligible for certification?

The following requisites were precisely made for ACE’s certification test:

At least 18 years of age.

A valid CPR certification at the time of the exam.

Applicants are strongly urged to have at least a 100-hour experience in a relevant healthcare or fitness-related field.

To take the Weight Management and Lifestyle Consultant Certification program applicants must have either a current ACE Grou[ Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer or Clinical Exercise Specialist Certification or at least an equivalent.

Applicants for the Clinical Exercise Specialist Certification Exam must have at least a 300-hour work experience in the field of designing and putting into practice exercise regimens for supposedly physically fit individuals and/or those who have health risks as confirmed by a medical professional. They must likewise possess a four-year bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related area or any existing ACE certification.

Who is eligible for fitness certification?

To qualify for our certification programs the applicant must comply with the following:

A holder of a valid adult CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) certification at the time of the test. (You may take the Heart saver First Aid with CPR and AED Training Course or determine other accepted CPR certifications.)

Although it is not a requirement, applicants for the Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor certifications are urged to have at least a 10-hour experience in healthcare services, fitness instruction and the like.

Applicants for the Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant Certification test must possess a valid ACE Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor or Clinical Exercise Specialist Certification or its counterparts.
