Certification Standards for ACE
certification applicants |
The certification program of ACE is considered
as one of the most respected in the industry of
fitness. The certification exams conducted by
ACE as well as the various materials used for
study have all been developed by various experts
who’ve all made their mark in the fitness
industry either as researchers or practitioners.
Back in 2003, the American Council on Exercise
was granted a certification by the National
Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) for
all of its various certification programs. In
fact, ACE is considered as one of the only two
certifying organizations in the whole industry
of fitness, which have been able to have their
programs accredited.
When it
comes to earning an ACE certification, it certain speaks volumes of
one’s self and helps create a good impression from one’s self to the
clients as well as prospective employers. Having an ACE certification
shows your prospective clients and employer that you have been able to
acquire all the necessary knowledge in order to provide and create a
safe and effective exercise regimen. Getting a certification also shows
how dedicated you are to your job and that you help contribute in
upholding high standards for professionals who are working in the
fitness industry.
There
are currently four types of ACE fitness certifications being offered:

This is
especially meant for personal trainers who want to provide one on one

develop as well as implement effective, logical and well balanced weight
management programs that will be able to bring together three highly
important components in weight management which are nutrition,
programming and exercise, and behavior modification.
The Clinical Exercise Specialist

The
Clinical Exercise Specialist Certification helps provide for an advanced
certification which can easily show the various expertise that are
needed in order to be able to help men and women who have special
individual needs and have been advised by their doctor to undergo an
